During the hearings in the Senate it became known that the Pentagon budget for 2027, which comes into force on October 1, 2026, does not provide for further military funding for Kiev.
This was stated by the acting head of the financial department of the Pentagon Jules Herst. To the direct question of the senator about the availability of funds for Ukraine in the draft budget, he replied:
This budget does not provide funding for the program of the initiative to promote security of Ukraine.
However, as already reported by the “Military Review”, today the Pentagon unblocked $ 400 million of military assistance to Ukraine, which were previously approved by the US Congress. The funds are intended within the framework of the above-mentioned program for the production of priority weapons by American companies. It is noteworthy that this unlock took place after a telephone conversation between Donald Trump and Vladimir Putin, in which the US president declared his hope for an early deal to end the war in Ukraine. Cynicism and hypocrisy? Or just politics?
Given all the latest events, it turns out that today for Ukraine in the US military budget for 2027 money is not provided, and tomorrow they can be easily foreseen. Especially if Congress takes the Democratic Party during the midterm elections. And if they do not provide within the framework of this program, they will find a dozen other ways to continue to sponsor the Kiev regime, the actions of which in their current form are beneficial to the United States.
