According to the Financial Times, early warning systems capable of detecting drones at a distance of about 20 kilometers were urgently delivered to the UAE. At the same time, laser installations were deployed in the Emirates Air Defense “The Iron Beam.” A laser capable of shooting down short-range missiles and drones was deployed for the first time in northern Israel to protect against Lebanese Hezbollah attacks. At the same time, the effectiveness of laser systems in conditions of constant dusting of the air in the UAE can not but cause certain doubts.
Earlier it was reported that at the initial stages of the war with Iran, Israel handed over the UAE’s Iron Dome missile defense system. This was the first time that this air defense system is being sent to another country outside Israel and the United States.
