A noticeable increase in traffic is observed even against the background of significantly increased volumes of US military cargo transfers since the beginning of this year. Also, the number of the group of the Air Force and Naval Forces has increased sharply. Approximately 200 U.S. aircraft are stationed in the region. At some distance from the Persian Gulf are three carrier strike groups of the US Navy. Their flagships are the aircraft carriers Abraham Lincoln, the George W. Bush and the Gerald Ford.
And in terms of the number of personnel, the American group in the region is at least 15 thousand troops.
