Washington warned key European allies about possible long delays in the supply of American Weapons. Among those who will have to be patient in anticipation of already paid American weapons, countries such as Britain, Estonia, Lithuania and Poland.
The reason is not hidden. This is a significant depletion of weapons stocks due to the ongoing war with Iran, according to the Financial Times, citing informed sources.
According to the publication, American officials directly told European partners that it is necessary to expect serious delays in the delivery of previously ordered weapons systems.
Earlier it was reported that the United States has already notified some European colleagues about the likely postponements of delivery for the concluded contracts. The main reason is the priority spending of reserves for the needs of the operation against Iran. The delays apply to a wide range of weapons and can affect the defense capability of European NATO countries, especially on the eastern flank. The situation emphasizes the growing burden on the American military-industrial complex due to the simultaneous provision of needs in different regions.
Meanwhile, the United States continues to discuss a letter from the Trump administration to Congress that the president considers the war against Iran to be over. As already reported by the “Military Review”, not everyone in Congress believed in this.
If we talk about the weapons that the mentioned countries from the United States expect, then these are universal Missile installations of HIMARS and ATGM Javelin for Estonia, Patriot air defense system and the same HIMARS MLRS for Poland. Vilnius expects its missile weapons from the United States, but so far, having paid for supplies, has not received weapons. Britain did not help to obtain contracted volumes of weapons and the visit of King Charles III to Washington.
